French Dip Sandwich

Grab yourself some yummy, crusty buns, thinly-sliced beef, and cheese; melt it all happily together and viola! You've got yourself a fabulous French dip, ready for a good dunk in au jus broth. Enjoy a delicious nut free lunch option, bon appetit!

Ingredients

  • Angelic Bakehouse Hot Dog Buns
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 2 cans beef consomme
  • 1 lb sliced roast beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbs flour
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  • 1 chopped shallot

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add shallots to butter and saute 2 minutes. Add flour to butter and shallot and cook a minute longer. Whisk in consomme slowly. Bring sauce to a bubble and allow to simmer over low heat until ready to serve with sandwiches
  2. Season roast beef with salt and pepper
  3. Add a piece of provolone cheese into hot dog bun. Then layer on roast beef. Dip into sauce and enjoy!
