What’s better than a fried egg on a burger? Nothing. This burger is loaded up with green chiles, bacon, and a fried egg on top – the perfect recipe for date night at home.

Ingredients

  • Angelic Bakehouse Sprouted Hamburger Buns
  • 2 1/4 lbs ground chuck
  • 8 strips bacon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 lb american blue cheese
  • 4 tbs melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup green chile relish
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat grill to medium-high
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a cooling rack on top.
  3. Put bacon on top of cooling rack, then place baking sheet on grill. Cook for about 12 minutes, or until desired crispiness is reached.
  4. While bacon is cooking, form chuck into 4 thick patties. Season with salt & pepper
  5. Grill patties until lightly charred, 5 minutes per side for medium-rare
  6. Heat a large cast iron skillet and lightly brush with oil. Add the 4 eggs to cook sunny-side up, 4 minutes.
  7. Top patties with cheese right before they are done cooking
  8. Lightly toast buns by spreading butter on cut sides and placing directly on grill.
  9. Top burgers with green-chile relish, 2 pieces of bacon and a fried egg each.
  10. Enjoy your leveled-up burgers!
