Mushroom and Goat Cheese Crostini

An Angelic Bakehouse baguette crostini smothered with goat cheese and topped with perfectly browned mushrooms with butter. This appetizer is so easy but soo delicious! 


  • Angelic Bakehouse Whole Grain Take-and-Bake Baguettes
  • Minced garlic
  • 5 oz goat cheese
  • Zest from 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Fresh thyme
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • Pepper and salt to taste


  1. Heat baguette in the oven at 350F for 5-10 minutes depending on slice thickness
  2. Add goat cheese, lemon zest, and pepper to a small bowl. Stir until mixed
  3. Add heavy cream until the texture is nice and spreadable. Set aside
  4. Melt butter in a skillet or a large frying pan on medium-high heat
  5. And mushrooms and salt to taste
  6. Sauté mushrooms until they are dark brown - reduce heat and sprinle in thyme
  7. Before assembly, spread minced garlic onto slices of toasted baguette
  8. Layer on goat cheese spread and top with cooked mushrooms
