Vegan Beet Burgers

These Vegan Beet Burgers are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and loaded with plant-based protein. You can’t beet it. 

We know that everyone loves a good veggie burger. It’s definitely one of life’s simple pleasures. There’s just nothing like a flavorful patty between two vegan buns (Angelic Bakehouse, of course), topped with whatever goodies your little heart desires. Let’s be honest – when your burger craving strikes, you owe it to yourself to fulfill that craving. Allow us to introduce, the Vegan Beet Burger! *Cue the applause!*

Ingredients

  • Angelic Bakehouse Sprouted Slider Buns
  • 7 Beets (sliced and blended)
  • Peas – 1 cup steamed and smashed
  • Chilies/Jalapenos – 2 cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 cup whole wheat / whole wheat cracker crumbs
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika / cayenne (chili) powder
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp dry mango (amchoor) powder
  • Optional (1 tsp chaat masala)
  • Salt to taste (2-3 tsps) depending on whether the crumbs used are salted or unsalted
  • 3 tsp oil

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400F
  2. Mix all of the above ingredients
  3. Make small patties about the size of half your palm and line them on a baking sheet
  4. Bake at 400F for 30 min
  5. Prep the slider buns by rubbing ghee on top and baking them for 7 min at 200F
  6. Serve with lettuce, tomatoes and onions and cheese (optional)
