Grains

What are whole grains?

Whole grains are any grains that contain the entire plant seed. This includes the bran, the germ, and the endosperm. In a nutshell—er, plant seed—they’re full of nutrients and fiber.

What are sprouted grains?

You can read the complete story from The Whole Grains Council, but the gist of it is this: sprouted grains are whole grain kernels that sprout under the perfect temperature and moisture conditions. This allows them to develop into healthy, hearty grains. Because we sprout and fresh press our grains into our dough, they end up incredibly nutritious and delicious.

What are fresh pressed grains?

They’re exactly what they sound like: our own mix of sprouted whole grains that we press directly into our dough before baking.

What kinds of grains do you use?

We use 7 sprouted whole grains: red wheat berries, quinoa, oat groats, rye berries, barley, amaranth, and millet. After sprouting these grains to increase the nutrients, we fresh press them into our doughs for more flavor.

How long are your products good for?

All our products can be frozen for up to 6 months. Here’s how long our products last when fresh:

  • Fresh breads, buns, and wraps: 14 days.
  • Flatzza® Crusts: 6 months, due to their airtight packaging.
  • Crisps: 1 year, because… you know… they’re crisps.

Are your products non-GMO?

Yes. In fact, all our products are non-GMO Project Verified. We use only the finest non-GMO ingredients and never add any artificial sweeteners, fats or preservatives.

Are your products kosher?

Heck yeah they are! We are proud to say that all of our products are Pas Yisroel Kosher-certified.

Are your products organic?

Some of our ingredients are organic, and all of them are non-GMO. Regardless of their certifications, we never settle for anything less than the highest quality ingredients.

Are your products vegan?

Yes. All our products are totally free of animal products.

Do you make any low- or no-sodium bread?

Absolutely. We sell three low-sodium products:

Are you allergy-friendly?

Yes, the only known allergen that we use is wheat (gluten).  Wheat, in the form of our red wheat berries, is in all of our products.

Our facility is completely free of milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, and sesame (a sensitive ingredient).

Note: our crisps are processed in a different facility that also processes wheat, dairy, mustard, soy, and tree nuts. All products other than crisps are made in our own dedicated manufacturing facility that is fully free of these allergens (aside from wheat).

Do you have any gluten-free products?

No, we do not have any gluten-free products; however, many find that our sprouted grain products are easier to digest for those with a gluten sensitivity. True celiacs should not consume our products as they do contain wheat … better to be safe than sorry!

Are your products good for dieting?

Because we use sprouted grains, our products compare favorably to regular, unsprouted bread in diets requiring you to count calories, protein, fiber, carbs, fat, and sugar.

What is your refund policy?

If you have any issue with your order such as a shortage or damage goods, we are more than happy to make it right and refund you for the portion of your order that was damaged or shorted. We deal with every return request individually, so if in the unlikely event that the goods you ordered do not meet your expectations, please let us know via e-mail (hello@angelicbakehouse.com) or phone (844-7-ANGELIC) within 7 days from receipt of your order. Once we confirm a refund is warranted, you can expect a refund to your account within two business days.

Are you products Keto friendly?

Our products are lower in carbs, sugar, and net carbs than most breads. We also tend to be higher in fiber and protein. While our products are not designed for Keto, we do meet the needs of many looking for healthy lower carb bread, wraps, buns, and pizza crusts. Why aren’t your products at my store?

We’re not sure, but we’ll get to the bottom of it. Please send us a message so we can fix this. And thanks in advance for letting us know.

Do you sell bread at your physical bakery?

Absolutely. We are open Monday-Friday from 9-4:30 pm and sell fresh wraps, Flatzza® Crusts, crisps, bread, and buns.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Not at all. However, we offer free shipping on all orders over $30. If you’re a retail customer, contact us directly and we’ll help you out.

How do I pay?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

What if I receive a defective product?

Please report product defects within 24 hours of receipt. Sprouted grains respond differently to various environmental conditions, so it’s best to consume upon buying, refrigerate unused bread, and freeze anything you don’t intend to consume immediately.

Are your products freezer friendly?

Yes! Our breads, buns, and wraps will also stay fresh in the freezer for up to 6 months. They will taste perfectly fresh when removed from the freezer. Our Flatzza Crust lasts 6 months in the pantry. Our crisps are fresh up to 1 year in the pantry.

Directions for thawing any product that's been in the freezer?

The products can be thawed at room temperature as the whole loaf/pack of wraps/pack of buns. This usually takes about 30 minutes to thaw completely in a room of about 70 F.

If you want to thaw individual slices of bread, an individual bun or wrap, this can be done on a plate at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Or you can put this in a plate in the microwave, or a toaster oven for less than 10 seconds! This allows you to keep the rest of the loaf in the freezer, and only take out what you need as you need it!

Shipping

When do you ship?

We’re currently experiencing a high order volume. Many orders are shipping on the same day as they are placed. At certain times, your order may not ship up to 3 days after placed. All orders are packed on the day they ship. We only ship the freshest product.

You’ll receive a shipment notification email once your order is on the way, including a tracking number so you can track exactly when your order will arrive. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

How fresh are the products you ship?

We only ship our freshest products! Products will be packed on the same day that they ship offering maximum freshness.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

We ship our orders via FedEx Ground, and we ship orders Monday – Friday from our locations in Milwaukee, WI. We pack orders the same day they ship so that we only ship the freshest product. The transit time is between 1-4 days.

What shipping options do you provide?

We ship everything via FedEx. Currently, FedEx Ground is our only shipping option; however, we are looking at adding additional shipping options within FedEx. We do offer free FedEx Ground shipping for orders of $30 or more.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, as long as your order is over $30.

I’m a retailer. How much does shipping to my store cost?

It depends. Give us a call at 844.7ANGELIC, and we’ll happily let you know.

How long will the products last when I get them?

When products arrive at your doorstep, the breads, buns, and wraps will be fresh on the counter for 10 – 13 days, Flatzza Crust will have 6 months, and our crisps have up to 1 year. Information on best by dates will be included with your order. Know that our products are completely safe to eat after the best by date as long as no mold is present and products continue to taste fresh. Please use your best judgement and discard appropriately as needed.

Shelf life can be extended by placing products in the refrigerator. Our breads, buns, and wraps will also stay fresh in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Can I donate multiple loaves of bread?

Yes, you may donate as many loaves as you’d like!

How do I donate?

Simply go to our Donate A Loaf page and purchase this exact product. We match each loaf that you donate.

  • Please note that when you purchase this loaf, it will not be sent to you. We send any donated loaves straight to Feeding America.

Do any other products count towards this donation program?

No. For Loaf You, you must purchase that particular product in order for us to match with a donated loaf.

Why do I need to enter my shipping address if I’m only ordering the donation loaf?

We request your shipping address so we can send you a thank you card!

Are you making any other donations outside of this program?

Yes. We’ve made several recent donations outside of our Loaf You program and will continue to do so!

Will you support other non-profits, now or in the future?
