This Monte Cristo Wrap recipe is the perfect ratio of sweet and salty. This recipe is a great twist on the traditional Monte Cristo sandwich that we all know and love. Ham and swiss cheese get wrapped into our 7-Grain Wrap, coated with a pinch of powdered sugar and preserves, and is grilled to a sweet and savory deliciousness!

Ingredients

  • Angelic Bakehouse Sprouted Wraps
  • 4 thin slices of ham
  • 2 slices of swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c almond milk
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Salt
  • Raspberry preserves
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Fill center of tortilla with cheese and ham. Fold both sides of wrap in, then fold the wrap flat to make a rectangle
  2. In a wide, shallow baking dish; whisk together the egg, almond milk, agave, vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt
  3. Heat butter in a pan over medium
  4. Coat wrap in batter and sear in pan until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side
  5. Top with raspberry preserves and sifted powdered sugar
  6. Enjoy!
